The leader of the Tisa party, which won the parliamentary elections in Hungary, Peter Magyar, proposed Anita Orban, the namesake of the current Prime Minister Viktor Orban, to the post of Foreign Minister of the country.
The politician stated this during a press conference following a meeting of his party's faction. The event was broadcast by the Magyar YouTube channel.
In the past, Anita Orban was a member of the ruling Fidesz party of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban (politicians have no family ties), and from 2010 to 2015 she dealt with energy security issues at the Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, she was an adviser to the Tisa party on foreign policy, advocating for reducing Hungary's dependence on Russian oil and gas.
Recall that under Viktor Orban, the department was called the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations. This ministry with expanded functions was headed by Peter Szijjarto.
Now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has become a separate structure, and the Ministry of Economy and Energy has been entrusted with dealing with issues of foreign economy and trade. That is, there will be no separate Ministry of Energy, as in the outgoing government, in Hungary.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the future Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, made a harsh statement regarding Ukraine. He demanded that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, resume the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
