The German government has approved assistance to Ukraine for the next four years. This is reported by Reuters.
It is reported that 11.6 billion euros of aid for Ukraine is provided within the framework of the German state budget next year. Another 8.5 billion euros per year in the period from 2028 to 2030. At the same time, the reduction in support for Kiev from 2028 was justified by the approval by the European Union of a loan of 90 billion euros.
In general, the German budget provides for total expenditures of 543.3 billion euros, which is 3.6% more than in the previous year, including 105.8 billion euros for defense, which is significantly more than this year (82.7 billion euros). At the same time, taking into account the special fund for defense needs and funds for Ukraine, total defense spending in 2027 will reach 144.9 billion euros. The total volume of borrowings will also increase — from 180 billion euros to 196.5 billion euros.
Recall, Germany condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and strongly supports Kiev. At the same time, Berlin is doing everything to ensure that Ukraine continues to conduct military operations against the Russian Federation up to the "last Ukrainian".
