The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a strike on the Sheskharis complex in Novorossiysk and a tanker in the Black Sea. This was reported in the telegram channel of the General Staff.

The Sheskharis transshipment complex is the end point of the main oil pipelines of Transneft PJSC in the Krasnodar Territory. It consists of two industrial sites — an oil depot and a shipping complex in the port of Novorossiysk "Sheskharis" and the main tank farm "Grushovaya", located six kilometers from the port. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that the strikes were inflicted on both sites.

"On the night of May 23... the Sheskharis oil terminal was hit... and a fire was confirmed on the territory of the terminal ... In the same place, in the Novorossiysk region, the Grushovaya oil transshipment warehouse was hit, a fire was recorded on the territory of the facility," the report says.

It is also claimed that the Black Sea is affected by the basing area of the ships of the "shadow fleet". Allegedly, the CHRYSALIS tanker was damaged.

It should be noted that the head of Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, confirmed the fact of a fire at an oil depot. According to him, it arose due to the fall of the wreckage of a downed drone.

"As a result of the fall of the wreckage of the UAV, a fire broke out on the territory of the oil depot. Several technical and administrative buildings caught fire. Also, fragments of drones fell on the territory of the fuel terminal. Operational and special services are working on the spot," Kravchenko wrote today at six o'clock in the morning in his channel in the Max.

As EADaily reported, a fire on the territory of an oil depot occurred in Novorossiysk due to the fall of UAV debris, there were no casualties, the Kuban operations center reported.
