Preparation for massive strikes on Ukraine requires complex logistics from the Russian Armed Forces. The French Le Monde informs its readers about this.

The preparations, the newspaper notes, are being monitored by Ukrainian and American intelligence, which for this reason may know about the planned strikes in a week. Most often, the first signs of preparation are the activity of strategic aviation.

"They need to deliver cruise missiles, arm aircraft, transfer them from permanent bases to five or six existing runways. These operations, of course, take hours, if not days," Yuri Ignat, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told the newspaper, quoted by Strana.

Kiev knew about the attack on May 24 and its scale six days before the start, Ruslan, a serviceman of the Ukrainian air defense forces, told the publication.

"The picture became clearer as the date approached, with the deployment of ships, submarines and aircraft. Three hours before that, we had a clear idea of the number and types of shells," he said.

According to the newspaper, the Russian Armed Forces, in addition to equipment, also involved several tens of thousands of military personnel during the strike. These are UAV operators, rocket men and gunners, ground forces soldiers. The assessment of their deployment and combat readiness also makes it possible to predict the strike and its scale, the publication says.

Note that knowledge of the date and scale of the strike of the Russian Armed Forces did not help Kiev.

As reported by EADaily, the Ukrainian air defense systems were unable to repel the night attacks of Russian missiles on Kiev and the region. Ukrainian resources recognized a large number of arrivals during the attack. Even from the official reports of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, it follows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed to shoot down any Dagger and Zircon missiles. Kiev sources linked the situation with a possible shortage of missiles for American air defense systems, exacerbated by the US war with Iran.
