In Canada, the search for 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen Pavel Shemchuk, who disappeared in the waters of Johnston Canyon on May 1, has ended. According to the Calgary Herald portal, the body of a young man was discovered and retrieved from a stormy stream only on May 26, almost a month after the tragedy.

According to the publication, Shemchuk moved to permanent residence in the United States ten years ago. In early May, he went to Banff National Park with his cousin and best friend as part of a tourist trip.

The Administration of the Canadian National Parks expressed its deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
