The authorities of Bangladesh rescued Donald Trump's buffalo from ritual slaughter on Eid al-Adha. This is reported by the Polish radio station RMF24.

"A rare albino buffalo from Bangladesh, nicknamed Donald Trump because of his characteristic blond hair, was saved from ritual slaughter during Eid al-Adha (Arabic for Kurban Bayram. — EADaily). The decision to pardon the animal was made by the authorities after it gained huge popularity on the Internet," the radio reports.

The Bangladeshi authorities decided to pardon the animal when the almost 700-kilogram buffalo had already been sold for ritual slaughter. As explained in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, this was done for security reasons against the background of unprecedented public interest.

The head of the department, Salahuddin Ahmed, ordered to cancel the slaughter, return the money to the buyer and transport the animal to the national zoo in Dhaka.

The story began with the sale of an animal for sacrifice. However, after the A video with an unusual buffalo with blond bangs appeared on the network, crowds of people from all over the country rushed to the farm. The buffalo got the nickname Donald Trump, which was invented by the younger brother of the farm owner, who noticed a resemblance to the US president.

According to the owner of the farm, the buffalo is very gentle and requires special care in the form of frequent feeding and regular bathing. Now he will live in the National Zoo in Dhaka, where he will be able to enjoy the peace and great interest of visitors.

It is noted that albinos among buffaloes in Bangladesh are extremely rare — most of them are dark. This singled out the US president's namesake during the cattle sales season before Eid al-Adha, but Internet fame and an unusual nickname probably saved his life.
