Russia reacted to another statement by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Kai Kallas on the negotiation process on Ukraine.

We are talking about her statement in which she demanded to limit the size of the Russian Armed Forces as a condition for starting negotiations with the participation of the EU.

The head of European diplomacy also insists on the withdrawal of Russian troops from "Moldova and Georgia," meaning Transnistria, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

The first reaction to this appeared in the Russian Foreign Ministry, it was ironically voiced by the official representative of the department Maria Zakharova. She reminded me of a line from the song "quietly I'm having a conversation with myself."

The comment on the Callas statement also followed from The State Duma. Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the parliamentary defense Committee, expressed his opinion.

"What we should do or not should be decided by Russia itself... Kallas declares that we should, let her say this inside the European Union or to those countries that depend on the European Union, for example, Ukraine," the deputy said.

He stressed that Russia will pursue only its own interests. Especially considering the fact that the EU only imitates the desire to negotiate with Russia, but in fact pushes Kiev to continue hostilities.

As reported by EADaily, the US Embassy officially denied the statement of Kai Callas that American diplomats left Kiev in connection with the Russian warning.
