A tragedy occurred in the Samara region: on the afternoon of June 11, two 15-year—old teenagers, Semyon M. and Alexander I., decided to swim across the Volga on a hand—assembled raft. The place of the dangerous experiment was the water area near Rozhdestvensky Island. Details are provided by the Telegram channel "112".
The idea ended quickly when the raft overturned about 50-70 meters from the shore. Both teenagers were in the water without life jackets. Semyon managed to get out on his own, and Alexander, because of his heavy wet clothes, began to go under the water.
The teenager's body was later retrieved by rescuers from a depth of about six meters. Investigators are investigating the circumstances of the tragedy.
