A resident of Moscow, 18-year-old Diana, married Ilnaz Galyaviev, who is serving a sentence in the Black Dolphin colony. On May 11, 2021, Galyaviev staged a shooting at a school in Kazan and is serving his sentence in the Black Dolphin.

According to the girl, communication began in 2021, when she was 14 years old.

"Ilnaz seemed attractive to me, I decided to write him a letter. That was in 2021. I wrote it. I've been waiting for an answer for about a month. And he answered. We started communicating," Diana said MK.RU .

The first meeting took place on April 10, 2023 in court. Later, the girl was able to get to Galyaviev in the colony. In 2024, their connection was interrupted, but about a year later Galyaviev's father wrote to her. According to him, Ilnaz has been trying to restore communication all this time. Then they met again and decided to get married.

"It turned out that Ilnaz had been looking for a connection with me all this time, he thought I was in Moscow. He made some kind of confession. In general, on a date, all these feelings flared up, and we definitely decided that we would get married, " the girl said.

The girl also noted that at first she hid the correspondence from her parents, fearing their reaction. She later told them about her intentions, and, according to her, the family accepted the situation calmly, although there were disputes between them.

"I believe that anyone is worthy of love, no matter what he is," Diana said.

The wedding took place in the colony. According to Diana, there were difficulties before the ceremony, since Galyaviev could have been placed in a detention center, which would have made registration impossible. As a result, the ceremony took about ten minutes: the newlyweds signed documents and exchanged rings, after which the girl was given a long date.

"Everyone has a different story. I have it like that. We spent three days with Ilnaz. We had a lot to talk about, to feel the kinship of souls. In any case, we still get to know each other, there is time," said Diana.

She added that she understands the difficulties associated with a relationship with a person in the colony: calls are allowed once a month, and long-term visits take place once a year.

"Kazan shooter" 19-year-old Ilnaz Galyaviev, who staged "Columbine" in his former gymnasium in May 2021, was sentenced to life in prison by the Supreme Court of Tatarstan. Armed Galyaviev staged an explosion and shooting in Kazan gymnasium No. 175, killing seven children and two teachers, 24 more people were injured.

According to the materials of the criminal case, "the cause of the tragic events was Galyaviev's desire to imitate the actions of informal representatives of one of the destructive subcultures, information about which he learned from the Internet, copying their behavior during the attack," in particular, writing "I am God" on a T-shirt.

During the debate, Tatarstan Prosecutor Ildus Nafikov suggested that the court impose a sentence of life imprisonment on Galyaviev with serving the first five years in prison, and then in a special—regime penal colony. In addition, the prosecutors offered the court to fully satisfy the victims' claims for compensation for moral damage, the amount of which is now about 120 million rubles. Galyaviev asked the court not to send him to prison and said that he would try to reimburse the victims for all claims.
