The Iranian military fired missiles in the direction of American ships in The Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by the Iranian Press TV channel.

"There are reports that Iran has fired missiles at American vessels in The Strait of Hormuz," the channel said in a statement.

According to Press TV, missiles were also launched at two American air bases in Jordan — King Hussein and Al-Azraq.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the destruction of technical and repair infrastructure, as well as fighter bases at these facilities.

Explosions were heard after the strikes in Jordan, the TV channel reports.

On the evening of August 30, the US military attacked two Iranian launchers on Lark Island in The Strait of Hormuz. According to Axios, before the attack, US forces noticed IRGC fighters preparing to launch missiles and naval mines.

The Iranian Tasnim news agency reported that the strike was carried out using a drone. According to preliminary data, two people were killed and two more were injured.

Later, a new series of explosions occurred on the island, Press TV reported.

The attack was the first US strike on Iran since the end of July. Then US President Donald Trump ordered to stop a series of strikes on the country.
