Military expert Yuri Knutov said that the strikes of the Russian army on Kiev, continuing for the fifth day, represent an operation to block the Ukrainian capital from the air.
According to him, earlier the Ukrainian command had concentrated in Kiev and its environs the main capacities of the military-industrial complex, including the assembly of drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles in the future. Hiding behind the protection of civilians, the Kiev regime requested air defense systems and missiles from the West, but now their reserves have been exhausted.
"We have the opportunity to destroy these enterprises. Look: we are striking today, which means that tomorrow we will not strike a massive blow. What are Ukrainians doing? They take the remaining whole equipment and take it to another place, evacuate it from the area. But if we have smashed one workshop today, tomorrow the second workshop of the same enterprise, the day after tomorrow the third and fourth — in about a week we can completely wipe out the entire plant, which, strictly speaking, we are doing. Such powerful intense strikes are connected with this," Knutov said on Sputnik radio.
