According to Andrei Batalov, Deputy Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums for Scientific work, Prince Dmitry Donskoy had probable heart problems. Details are provided by TASS.
The expert clarified that, most likely, Donskoy suffered from angina pectoris, which ended in a heart attack.
"The chronicle does not directly say what he died of. But by the way the sarcophagus is combed, it can be judged that by this age he was a fairly large man. Most likely, he had angina pectoris, and his life ended with a heart attack, which is not surprising given the trials that the prince underwent," Batalov believes.
