Ukrainians continue to flee to Belarus, but their flow has begun to decline

About 5 thousand citizens of Ukraine arrived in Belarus in August. This was reported by the Belarusian State Border Committee.

"Over the past month, 4,944 citizens of Ukraine have arrived in the Republic of Belarus from the Ukrainian territory: 10 through the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, 4,135 through Poland, 766 through Lithuania, 33 through Latvia," the report says.

It is noted that in total, 55,636 citizens of Ukraine entered the country in 2026: 46 through the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, 48,942 through Poland, 6,317 through Lithuania, and 331 through Latvia.

Recall that Belarus does not participate in the Russian SMO at the Ukraine and is ready to host Ukrainian refugees. At the same time, in recent months, the flow of Ukrainians to Belarus has begun to decline. So, according to the CPC, in March about 8.9 thousand citizens of Ukraine arrived in the republic, in April and May — about 8.3 thousand, in June — more than 7.6 thousand, and in July — 6.3 thousand.
