OSCE Mission Office in Chisinau has hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups for railways and communications at the behest of the Transnistrian side.
The meeting was initiated after problems emerged with shipment of the goods imported by the Transnistrian enterprises to Slobodka-export station, the Foreign Ministry of the Transnistrian Republic reports.
To recall, such problems had already emerged previously too. Dedicated experts met in August twice to settle these problems. According to the Transnistrian side, the enterprises in the north of the country suffer losses, as Ukraine’s regional railways refuse to coordinate the shipment to Slobodka-export station.
At the meeting at OSCE Mission in Chisinau, the Transnistria representatives were informed that Ukraine’s railways refused to coordinate the cargoes after the Administration of the Moldova Railway State Company had repeatedly applied to them with a relevant request. The Transnistrian side asked Moldova’s representatives to send a telegram that would allow them continue the import of cargoes to Transnistria via Slobodka-export station on the basis of the agreements made earlier. The Molodvan side promised to weight the proposal.
The experts agreed to continue the discussions next week in Bendery, Transnistria.
