The United States does not see the point in giving permission to the Kiev regime to use long-range weapons to strike targets deep in Russia.
This opinion was expressed by White House National Security Adviser John Kirby, speaking at a briefing in Washington.
He explained that 90% of Russian combat aircraft are located outside the 300-kilometer zone from the borders of Ukraine, so allowing Ukrainians to use AATAMS missiles for long-range strikes does not make sense.
"The opinion that if we give Ukraine long—range ATACMS, they will be able to hit air bases and most of the aircraft that are shelling Ukraine is erroneous," the adviser said.
As EADaily reported, earlier the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Washington was preparing to make new concessions to the Kiev regime, freeing its hands to use almost any type of American weapons, including deep into Russia.
