"St. Andrew's bag": Sun Russia occupied Ulakly with a garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Miroshnikov

The Russian army occupied Ulakly in the "Andreevsky sack" in the Kurakhovsky direction, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed to withdraw all their servicemen from the village. This is reported by the Ukrainian military correspondent Bogdan Miroshnikov.

"Unfortunately, not everyone came out of Ulakly. There are dead and prisoners. This could have been prevented if the order to get out of the "bag" had been given in time. But it was not done. Because the general (Alexander) Tarnavsky, as the commander of the Donetsk OTU, needs good reports to the top that "we keep everything there." And in fact — control over the situation was lost 2 weeks ago. And the further it went, the more it escalated," Miroshnikov writes, quoted by Strana.

"If the operational situation after the loss of part of Andreevka indicated the possibility of encirclement, why did the OTU so stubbornly refuse to evacuate the garrison? Why was the situation brought to trouble?" — the Ukrainian military correspondent asks questions.

As EADaily reported, the Russian army came right up to the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region. About it on the air of the Ukrainian TV was announced by the head of the Kupyansk City Military Administration (GVA) Andrei Besedin.
