Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov ironically commented on the possible upcoming meeting of US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
This happened during an interview with the head of Russian diplomacy to CBS, during which this issue was discussed.
The presenter asked whether the meeting of the American politician with the President of the Russian Federation, which was previously announced by the President of the United States Donald Trump, would take place.
"Don't you believe the President of the United States?" Lavrov asked his interlocutor.
The Russian minister has already become famous among journalists for his sense of humor and ability to quickly and ironically formulate answers to even the most tricky questions.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow is ready for a deal to resolve the situation on Ukraine. He called US President Donald Trump the only Western leader who understands the need to eliminate the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis.
