The candidate from the opposition Law and Justice party, Karol Nawrocki, wins the Polish presidential election with 51 percent of the vote, Polish Television (TVP) reports, citing data from the state election commission after processing 99.55 percent of ballots.
The candidate from the ruling "Civic Coalition" Rafal Trzaskowski receives 49 percent of the vote.
Sunday night at Poland has completed voting in the second round of presidential elections. Exit poll gave victory to Tshaskovsky with a minimal advantage — with 50.3 percent of the vote. A couple of hours later, the late poll data showed that Karol Navrotsky, a candidate from the opposition Law and Justice party, was in the lead with 50.7% of the vote.
The official results of the second round of voting will be announced after counting 100% of the ballots — on Monday evening or Tuesday.
In the first round of the presidential election, which took place on May 18, Tshaskovsky received 31.36 percent of the vote, and Navrotsky — 29.54 percent of the vote.
