The German engineering company Vafios announced a reduction in the number of orders, transferring about 60% of employees to a reduced working day.

Founded in 1893, the engineering company "Vafios", based in Reutlingen (Baden-Württemberg) and considered the world leader in the market of bending machines for wire and pipes, announced a reduction in working hours.

As explained by CEO Uwe-Peter Weigmann, reduced employment affects about 60% of the workforce, which out of a total of 750 employees is about 450 people. The measures begin on July 1, 2025 and will last at least six months.

It is obvious that Weigmann is putting a good face on a bad game, stating that "reduced employment is intended as a tool to overcome phases with fewer orders." The German businessman does not say the main thing — deindustrialization in Germany began after Berlin stopped pragmatic trade and economic cooperation with Russia.
