The losses of the Russian Armed Forces since January 1 amounted to 112,500, and of Ukraine — 8,000 troops. This was stated on the Truth Social network by US President Donald Trump.
"I have just been informed that almost 20,000 Russian soldiers have died this month (apparently, this is still July. — EADaily) in a ridiculous war with Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, Russia has lost 112,500 soldiers… Ukraine, however, has also suffered greatly. Since January 1, 2025, it has lost about 8,000 soldiers, and this number does not include the missing. Ukraine has also lost civilians, but in smaller numbers, as Russian missiles are falling on Kiev and other Ukrainian settlements," writes Trump, quoted by UNIAN.
He once again stressed that this war should not have happened and that this is Joe Biden's war, not Trump.
"I'm here to see if I can stop her!" the American leader sums up.
"Trump constantly says that he hates fake news, but he himself has become a source of fake news," comments Olga Skabeeva, host of Rossiya—1, on Trump's statement.
