Mercenaries from 72 countries are fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine today, about 40% are representatives of South America. This is reported by the Public television channel with reference to the acting head of the coordination department for military service by foreigners Konstantin Milevsky.

According to Milevsky, if at the beginning of the Russian special operation in APU joined 100-150 foreigners per month, now about 600. Today, more than 8 thousand mercenaries from other countries are fighting in the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine alone, the acting chief reported.

As EADaily reported, mercenaries from Asian and African countries are fighting on the side of the Russian army in the Volchansk direction. This was stated after a visit to the Kharkiv region by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

In the Volchansk direction, according to him, he spoke with the servicemen of the 17th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 57th brigade, who provided him with this information.
