The Russian Foreign Ministry does not know what concessions to Ukraine from Russia were made by US Vice President Jay Dee Vance. Perhaps he was quoting his leader Donald Trump, developing his idea, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today, August 29.
"Perhaps the US Vice President quoted and developed the thesis that was outlined by the US president in April 2025, when Donald Trump said ... regarding concessions to Russia," she said during a briefing.
Earlier, Vance said that Russia had made significant concessions on the settlement of the Ukraine is ready to show flexibility in relation to a number of its requirements.
Zakharova suggested seeking clarification from the American side and noted that Russia always indicates its approach to the settlement.
It should be recalled that in April 2025, Trump said that Russia's refusal to have claims on "the whole of Ukraine" was already a concession to resolve the conflict. When asked whether Ukraine should make territorial concessions, Trump said that "it depends on the territories."
