Major General Alexander Ogloblin used his right to make the last word, which was granted to him during the meeting at the 235th garrison Military Court.
The accused admitted that he had indeed received money from representatives of the Telta telephone factory, and stated that he repented of what he had done.
He drew the judges' attention to the fact that he actively cooperated with the investigation and pointed out that his actions did not damage the country's defense capability. In this regard, the defendant asked the court not to punish him severely.
RIA Novosti reminds that the general is accused of taking a bribe of 12 million rubles. in the execution of the state defense order (part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code).
The bribe was given not for specific services, but "for general patronage in the execution by the enterprise of a contract for the supply of military communication devices worth more than 1.2 billion rubles." The accused does not agree with the qualification of the case.
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to investigators, in 2016-2021 Ogloblin received from representatives of JSC Perm telephone plant "Telta" more than 10 million rubles. At the request of the investigation, the 235th garrison military court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against Ogloblin.
