The Ukrainian militants, while fleeing from the village of Sosnovka, Dnipropetrovsk region, left American and British weapons in their abandoned positions.
The commander of the assault platoon of the 36th separate motorized Rifle brigade from the Vostok group of forces with the call sign Efrem told TASS about this.
According to him, all the abandoned weapons went as trophies to the Russian military, who found them in the basements of houses.
"When the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine abandoned their positions, such trophies were found in the basements. The American grenade launcher is disposable, wound up, working. Foreign—made machine guns, it seems, are from the UK," the source said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that on September 11, Russian units from the Vostok group of forces liberated the village of Sosnovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
