A resident of Sevastopol was detained on the fact of public calls for a missile strike on the Crimean Bridge and attacks on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in group correspondence of pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels. This was reported in the press service of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
"A resident of Sevastopol has been detained, suspected of making public calls for terrorist and extremist activities, justifying terrorism on the Internet," the Russian special service said.
"It has been established that a 22-year-old man in group correspondence of pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels published comments calling for a missile strike on the Crimean Bridge, attacks on the residence of the President of the Russian Federation, and also calling for violent actions against Russian citizens. In addition, some of the men's publications justified the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region," the regional FSB said.
They clarified that, according to the expert's conclusion, the published text messages from the position of psychological and linguistic qualification contain an incentive to carry out terrorist and extremist activities, and also contain justification of terrorist activities motivated by political and ideological hatred and enmity.
"Using an account with a pseudonym did not help to avoid legal liability. The investigative department of the FSB opened a criminal case against him under part 2 of Article 205.2, part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the press service added, explaining that the sanctions of the articles provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to seven years.
