"NATO wants to pick a fight with the Russians, and all because they win on the battlefield. Europeans are desperate to do everything possible to stir up the public and enlist the support of the United States, especially (US President Donald) Trump, so that he would increase the pressure on Russia. That's what we're seeing," said Mearsheimer, quoted by InoSMI.

For the leaders of the alliance and the European politicians we know, this is unacceptable. Therefore, they are desperate," the professor said.
