Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska, confirmed his readiness to accept the US concept of ending the Ukrainian conflict.
This was stated on the eve of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his interview with the Hungarian YouTube channel Ultrahang.
The head of Russian diplomacy noted that Washington's proposals to resolve the Ukrainian crisis before the summit in Alaska were brought to Moscow by special envoy of the US President Stephen Witkoff. They have been carefully studied by the Russian side.
Lavrov said that Putin repeated in detail every element of the concept brought by Witkoff and asked him since he was present at the talks in Moscow. Anchorage: "Is this true? Is that so?"
"Everything has been confirmed. After that, President Putin said that Russia is ready to accept their concept and move forward in practical terms on the proposed basis," the Russian Foreign Minister said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Sergey Lavrov in the same interview stressed that Moscow had not changed its SMO goals. Therefore, questions about when Russia is going to stop are inappropriate.
