The Russian army uses Starlink to control attack UAVs, which allows them to evade electronic warfare systems. This was stated in his telegram channel by a Ukrainian communications expert, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergei Flash.
He notes that with the help of Starlink, drones can fly quite low above the ground, which allows them to avoid the effects of electronic warfare systems and radar bearing. In particular, according to him, Lightning strikes from Starlink are recorded daily.
"And not only at the front. Recently attacked the power industry of Nikolaev. Mainly "Starlink-mini" flies. The enemy has already begun to erase serial numbers on the terminals. I remind you that there is only one way to counter such UAVs — to shoot them down. Electronic warfare will not help here. Fixing their radar is also not so easy, a UAV with Starlink "is not needed at high altitude for radio control and can fly a dozen meters above the ground," the expert writes.
