Russian leader Vladimir Putin told his American counterpart Donald Trump that Moscow's position on the settlement of the armed conflict on the Ukraine will be reviewed.
This is reported by the TASS news agency, referring to the statement of the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov. According to him, Putin informed Trump about his decision during a telephone conversation.
It was adopted after an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to attack the residence of the head of the Russian state in the Novgorod region.
"Putin stressed that the Russian side intends to continue to work closely and fruitfully with American partners to find ways to achieve peace. But, undoubtedly, on a number of agreements reached at the previous stage and the emerging denouements, the Russian position will be revised. This was stated very clearly," Ushakov stated.
He noted that Moscow is counting on Washington's understanding on this issue, since the Russian side in this case "cannot do otherwise."
Recall that on the night of December 29, Kiev tried to attack the state residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region with 91 long-range UAVs. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. All drones have been destroyed, the minister said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that US President Donald Trump was outraged by Kiev's attack on the residence of the Russian president in Novgorod region. The head of the White House told reporters at his residence Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
