Iran has promised an unprecedented response in the event of an attack on the island of Kharq in The Persian Gulf. This was reported by the Tasnim agency with reference to a military source.
"If the US implements its threats of military encroachment on the island of Khark, they will certainly face a response that will be unprecedented compared to the 'surprises' of the last 21 days," the source said.
According to him, among the measures under consideration is the destabilization of key sea routes, including the Bab—el-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea.
The United States "does not have the means to protect Hark" and in the event of an escalation may suffer losses "of a scale not seen since the Second World War," the source added.
