The American company AeroVironment presented a new laser with the name LOCUST X3. Engineers position the development as a cheap tool capable of intercepting small drones. Details are provided by Breaking Defense.
We are talking about a 20-30 kilowatt laser, which is part of the anti-drone complex. Plus, there is an AI-based goal tracking system.
In an accompanying speech, Aaron Westman, a representative of the development company, confirmed that the system was designed to intercept drones such as Shahed-136 and Geranium.
EADaily also previously informed that the military of the Ministry of Defense will receive a new UBIM, which will replace three combat vehicles at once.
