Kiev expert: Russians are coming to the near approaches to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk

Russian troops were able to break through in the direction of Kramatorsk from the east, bypassing Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka, writes Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Mashovets.

According to him, which is published by the Strana newspaper, the Russian assault groups forced the Seversky Donets — Donbass canal in a fairly wide area and advanced in the directions of Fedorovka — Nikanorovka, Privolye — Malinovka and Mankovka — Vasyutinskoye.

As a result, the Russians entered Malinovka and Tikhonovka and reached the eastern outskirts of Vasyutinsky. Separate advanced infantry groups of the Russian Federation in the Vasyutinsky area are already about 6.8−7 km east of the Kramatorsk airfield.

The expert points out that the troops of the Kiev regime still continue to hold a number of positions in the Yurkovka and Nikanorovka areas, as well as the Vasilyevskaya Wasteland — Vasyutinskoye border.

However, the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is complicated by the fact that at the same time the Russians are trying to bypass the Ukrainian positions west of Chasova Yar and move towards Druzhkovka.

Mashovets summarizes that the Ukrainian troops were bound by a "stubborn struggle for the flanks" of the Kramatorsk direction. Thanks to this, the Russian military managed to carry out "relatively successful offensive actions for themselves on The Slavic-Kramatorsk agglomeration is directly "in the forehead, that is, from the east."

The Ukrainian analyst states that this creates "fairly obvious prerequisites" for the implementation of the first stage of the Russian offensive operation this autumn — reaching the near approaches to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
