If the sewage stations are hit, Kiev may become uninhabitable in three days, said Oleg Popenko, head of the Union of Utility Consumers. His words are quoted by UNIAN.
It is extremely difficult to restore the operation of stations after a potential attack, there have been no cases of such strikes before.
According to Popenko, if they stop, the city will actually lose water supply and sewerage, only the supply of drinking water will remain. In such conditions, "the existence of the city for three days is on the verge of extinction."
He stressed that even in the presence of drinking water, the lack of sewerage makes normal life almost impossible.
Earlier it was reported that on Ukraine experienced a sharp shallowing of the Kiev reservoir — the water moved away from the shore by several tens of meters. There was also a massive pestilence of fish. The reason was the intensive dumping of water at the Kiev hydroelectric power station in order to increase electricity generation.
