In Congress, after an obscene ultimatum, the US president was accused of insanity and remembered the 25th Amendment to The Constitution. It is reported by the British The Guardian.

Everyone in the Donald Trump administration who calls himself a Christian should "ask God for forgiveness" and intervene in the "madness" of the president. This was stated on the social network by Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green.

"I know all of you and him, and he's gone crazy, and you're all complicit. I'm not defending Iran, but let's be honest about all of this. The Strait is closed because the US and Israel launched an unprovoked war against Iran based on the same nuclear lie that they have been carrying for decades that at any moment Iran will develop nuclear weapons. Do you know who has nuclear weapons? From Israel. They are more than capable of defending themselves without leading the US to wage their wars, kill innocent people and children and pay for it. Trump's threat to bomb power plants and bridges is hurting the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed to be freeing. This is NOT what we promised the American people when they voted overwhelmingly in 2024… It doesn't make America great again, it's evil," the congresswoman writes.

Leader of the Democratic minority in In the Senate, Chuck Schumer, in turn, said on the social network X that Donald Trump's obscene ultimatum to Iran resembles the tirade of an "unbalanced madman."

"Happy Easter, America. When you go to church and celebrate with friends and family, the president of the United States is on social media like a madman, like a madman. He threatens possible war crimes and alienates allies. That's who he is, but it's not us. Our country deserves much better," Schumer said.

Independent Senator Bernie Sanders called Trump "dangerous and mentally unstable." "One month after the start of the war in Iran, this is a statement by the President of the United States on Easter Sunday. These are the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unstable person. Congress must act now. Let's put an end to this war," he urged.

"If I were in Trump's cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment. This is completely, absolutely inadequate. He's already killed thousands. He will kill thousands more," Senator Chris Murphy said in X.

Recall, the 25th Amendment to The US Constitution, among other things, defines the procedure for establishing the temporary incapacity of the president of the country when the performance of his duties passes to the vice president.

As reported by EADaily, US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday strikes on power plants and bridges in Iran, if the authorities do not open the Strait of Hormuz. He stated this on the Truth Social social network.

"Tuesday will be the Day of Power Plants and the Day of Bridges — all in one — in Iran. There has never been anything like this before!!! Open the damn Strait of Hormuz, you crazy bastards, otherwise you will live in hell — just watch! Praise be to Allah," Trump wrote, quoted by Donald Trump in Russian.
