Actor Mark Edelstein, who took part in last year's Academy Awards ceremony, spoke about the film for which he was rooting at this year's ceremony.
In an interview with the portal "Gazeta.<url>", the star of the movie "Anora" admitted that he was very worried about Chloe Zhao's film "Hamnet". In the picture, he admired the actors' acting, the color saturation, the brightness of the images and the music.
"During the time I watched it, I cried four times. I think this is a great movie, and Chloe Zhao is a great director," the actor emphasized.
He added that he received the strongest emotions from the play of actor Paul Mescal.
"In the first 15 minutes, he does what some actors can't do in their entire careers. In my opinion, this is the coolest performance of this year," concluded Edelstein.
"Hamnet" — historical drama, the plot of which is based on the novel of the same name by Maggie O'Farrell. The main roles were played by Paul Meskal and Jesse Buckley. At the 98th Academy Awards ceremony, the film was presented in eight nominations, as a result, the film received a statuette in the Best Actress category.
As reported by EADaily, in February of this year it became known that Edelstein played the first English-speaking role. He played in the biopic Becoming Capa, dedicated to the history of war photographers Gerda Taro and Robert Capa.
