Special Envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi almost got into a fight at the talks in Islamabad. This was stated in the social network X by the journalist of the Turkish publication Habertürk Cetiner Cetin.
The clash occurred, according to him, because of the Strait of Hormuz.
"A tense situation arose between Minister Abbas Araqchi and Witkoff, which, due to a serious disagreement over the management of the Strait of Hormuz, almost turned into a physical fight," writes Cetin, quoted by Pool No. 3.
The journalist recommended never to threaten Iranians.
As EADaily reported, the negotiations between the delegations of Tehran and Washington in Islamabad concerned the Strait of Hormuz, nuclear issues, reparations, sanctions and the end of the conflict, Reuters reported, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai.
