The incident occurred after Pahlavi, who claims to play a leading role in the Iranian opposition, spoke at a federal press conference with the participation of Bundestag deputies. The male attacker was arrested. The Berlin police have not yet provided any other details.
Earlier, Pahlavi, who was invited to Berlin "for talks," said in an interview with WELT that Germany's policy towards Iran was "disappointing" and criticized Chancellor Friedrich Merz "for restraint." He also announced his plan for the period after a possible regime change in Iran.
