The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, believes that Russia will try to use the truce as an excuse to lift sanctions. He commented on Russia's proposal to establish a truce for the period of the Victory Day celebration Bloomberg.
According to him, Moscow came up with such an initiative in order to "calmly hold a military parade." Zelensky also claims that Russia may try to use the ceasefire to achieve the lifting of some of the sanctions.
Zelensky has not yet received any official or unofficial proposals on this matter from Moscow or Washington, however, I am already sure that the main motive of the Russian authorities is "the desire to avoid Ukrainian strikes."
At the same time, he said that Kiev, which periodically violated the announced truces, "always responds positively to real proposals for a truce with Russia, if they exist."
On April 29, the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, had a telephone conversation, after which it became known that Moscow could announce a cease-fire on May 9. On April 30, the Kremlin said that Putin had not yet made a final decision on this issue.
