The Russian Interior Ministry has put Ben Wallace, the former British Defense Minister (2019-2023), on the wanted list. The corresponding card appeared on the department's page.
At the same time, it is not specified under which criminal article Wallace is involved. According to media publications, it is known that he called for more active mobilization in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the destruction of the Crimean Bridge.
From Wallace's other statements, we can mention his recognition that the UK supported Ukraine's desire to join NATO and supplied it with weapons (including NLAW-type ATGMs).
In July 2023, Wallace said in an interview with The Times that he would leave the post of defense minister in the fall, would not run for parliament and would leave politics altogether. This happened shortly after NATO rejected his candidacy for the post of Secretary General, preferring to extend the powers of Jens Stoltenberg. On August 31, 2023, Wallace resigned.
