The prosecutor's office appealed the verdict of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow to blogger Alexandra Mitroshina, who called herself the "Mother of Lies" on social networks. This is reported by TASS with reference to the lawyer of the blogger Mikhail Yusupov.
"The prosecutor's office has filed a complaint about a lenient decision," he said.
Yusupov added that the defense also appealed the verdict. But at present, he has not disclosed the essence of the complaint.
As EADaily reported, in March last year Mitroshina was detained at Sochi airport. According to the investigation, Mitroshina acquired over 127 million rubles as a result of a crime under the article on tax evasion. As an individual entrepreneur, she applied a simplified taxation system, although the income from her additional education courses for children and adults exceeded the permissible limit. She legalized part of the funds through the "purchase of a real estate object in the city of Moscow." The blogger partially admitted her guilt. According to her, she did not understand that buying an apartment could be regarded as money laundering.
Since her arrest, she has been under house arrest.
On June 18, the Tverskoy court of Moscow sentenced Mitroshina to three years of probation with a fine of 900 thousand rubles. In addition, by a court decision, 115 million rubles were confiscated from her.
