It's time for Europe to stop making up fakes about the "Kremlin's hand." This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
So she commented on the publication in Euronews, which claims that Russia is allegedly conducting a "Matryoshka" operation to disinform Armenia in the person of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The diplomat called it an "informational belch.
"For several months now, Armenia has been the target of a Russian disinformation campaign carried out on the eve of the upcoming parliamentary elections in June. According to the researchers, the campaign was launched in early March as part of the Matryoshka plan, a pro—Kremlin disinformation operation that increasingly uses artificial intelligence technologies. The team of Antibot4Navalny, investigating botnets, reported that it had found more than a dozen fake videos with Pashinyan's participation ..." the publication says.
Zakharova published a video with Pashinyan in the frame, who says something indigestible, difficult to convey and completely untranslatable into Russian — something after a number of letters in the end like "anas naglhakanag".
"The other day there was another powerful stuffing under the guise of an alleged "investigation" by EUvsDisinfo, an EU propaganda structure (functioning within the framework of the East StratCom Task Force under the auspices of the EU Foreign Policy Service) created to "combat Russian disinformation and fakes"…
So, I will responsibly declare: no operation "Matryoshka" could have come up with this video. And there is no need to fall into ecstasy from stories about the allegedly applied technologies. AI or botnets. This is Nikol Pashinyan himself. Therefore, stop making up fakes about the "hand of the Kremlin."
P. S. You can watch both with and without sound," Zakharova writes in her telegram channel.
