As part of the trial in the case of Dmitry Tsarenko, the former director of the singer, People's Artist of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, the former administrator of the artist Andrei Kovalev acted as a witness for the defense. He worked at Gazmanov's company OMG-promo from February 2013 until 2023, RBC reports from the courtroom.
According to Kovalev, he repeatedly received cash for the artist's performances. He called corporate parties the most expensive. One of the most vivid memories of the former administrator was that he received $ 60 thousand for Gazmanov for a New Year's corporate event in 2014 from Viktor Yanukovych, who then held the post of president of Ukraine.
Kovalev also noted that Tsarenko gave him money for salaries of employees, daily allowances on business trips, as well as for various expenses of the artist during trips to events.
Commenting on Gazmanov's words that he did not know anything about IP Tsarenko, Kovalev called the singer "the world champion in economy."
"IP Tsarenko was created for cashing out and for tax evasion, that is, for illegal activities. He could not substitute himself or his relatives for this, and Tsarenko is not sorry," Kovalev claims.
Allegedly, the artist promised that "everything will be fine" and "everyone is doing it," the former administrator of Gazmanov added.
As EADaily reported, in 2024 Gazmanov turned to law enforcement agencies with suspicion of his former director Oleg Tsarenko in embezzlement of funds that came from Gazmanov's concerts. As a result, Tsarenko received four years in prison for 13 episodes of fraud for more than 10 million rubles.
Later, a new criminal case was opened against Tsarenko on 17 episodes of fraud for 15.3 million rubles. Gazmanov was twice involved in interrogations as a witness.
At the same time, Tsarenko's lawyer Alexey Novozhilov claims that the ex-director did not commit a crime, which is confirmed by the contract between IP Tsarenko and the artist, as well as checks and "postings".
In turn, Tsarenko filed a lawsuit against Gazmanov for 44 million rubles. At the end of April, the court decided to leave the claim without motion, as the reason indicated that Tsarenko had not paid the state duty.
Now the Khoroshevsky court of Moscow is considering a criminal case against Tsarenko, in which the singer's former director is accused of embezzling more than 15 million rubles by abuse of trust using his official position. Tsarenko pleads not guilty and claims that he acted with the knowledge and on the instructions of Gazmanov.
Gazmanov himself claimed earlier during the trial that he did not know about the schemes used by Tsarenko, and "he did not have time to delve into financial issues and check everything because of his active concert activity." Also, the artist said that it made no sense for him to ask his former director to register an IP, since he could work with his own or IP wife.
