The new British Defense Minister Dan Jarvis spoke about his plans to arm Kiev. He intends to steal part of the funds from Russia.

"Today we are requesting 1 billion pounds sterling for two assistance packages under the PURL program (English — Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List, List of priority requirements of Ukraine). Another 1 billion for the purchase of 200,000 155-mm shells of extended range, 650 million to finance the supply of 100 critical missiles for the Patriot system. And another 1 billion for the production of one million Ukrainian drones," the minister said on June 18 in Brussels at the 35th meeting of the "Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine" (in the "Ramstein" format).

As for the latest request, according to Jarvis, he agreed with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov that the UK would supply 150,000 drones, as well as more than 350 missiles and radar air defense systems.

"All this will be delivered by the end of the year as part of an assistance package worth 752 million pounds, which is financed by revenues from frozen Russian assets. Right now we have a limited window of opportunity," Jarvis said.
