The time for negotiations with Russia has not yet come. This was stated by Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in an interview with the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
So she commented on the preparations for the negotiations of the European Union with Russia, which the European media have been discussing for at least a month. They even managed to scold the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, who came up with this initiative, and Costa managed to repent, but it only started to reach Helsinki now.
"It is good that they are preparing for negotiations at the official level. However, the time for negotiations between politicians has not yet come," Valtonen said.
According to the head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry (the traditional Russian name of Finns and Estonians is "Chukhontsy". — Approx. EADaily), now is not the time for Europe to think about trade or political ties with Russia.
