The Ukrainian authorities may be behind the attempted murder of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco. This was stated by two French politicians at once.

The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, referred to terrorism specialist Claude Monique, who had previously said that the SBU had not provided evidence substantiating sanctions against Ermolaev. The businessman himself refused to participate in the criminal scheme in which representatives of the Ukrainian authorities tried to involve him, the party leader added.

A similar statement was made by the mayor of Frejus on the Cote d'Azur, a representative of the National Union Party, David Rakhlin.

"According to preliminary data, the target of the attack was a Ukrainian oligarch who distanced himself from Zelensky and the Kiev regime, and he was injured. Is the Kiev regime really out of control if it targets citizens who refuse to obey its orders in this way?" — Rakhlin wrote in X.

As EADaily reported , late the night before in Monaco an explosion occurred at the entrance of a residential building, as a result of which seven people were injured. Shortly before the explosion, an unknown man, who was recorded by surveillance cameras, left a backpack in front of the front door and disappeared in the direction of the neighboring French city of Beausoleil. Among the victims are Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev, his wife and 13—year-old son. The woman, according to local media, had her legs torn off.
