The legacy of "Penicillin": The Ukrainian Armed Forces in the SMO zone have already learned what a "Mess" is

The Russian military has adopted a new system of counter-battery warfare "Zavarukha", which has already successfully passed the combat "run-in" in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as in the border regions of Russia. As told in the scientific and production association "Alpha", this complex compares favorably with its older "colleagues", the same legendary "Penicillin" and AZK-7M.

The main advantage of the "Mess" lies in its compactness. While Penicillin is based on heavy KAMAZ or Ural truck chassis, which makes it a large and visible target for enemy artillery and drones, the new system is easily camouflaged and can operate in close proximity to the line of combat contact. Moreover, the maintenance of Penicillin and AZK-7M requires as many as 20 people, and their cost is many times higher. The "mess" is 60 times cheaper.

Thus, the enemy on the front line has already faced a new threat — a small and inconspicuous "Mess" is able to quickly and accurately determine the positions of enemy guns without being exposed to a retaliatory strike. At the same time, the system costs the budget several times cheaper than bulky predecessors.

EADaily previously also informed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces rejoiced too early, and the video about the defeat of the Russian helicopter is fake.
