In Germany, a warning was issued to companies of the military-industrial complex after the publication of the list of the Russian Ministry of Defense. This is reported by the German media.
It is reported that the Office for the Protection of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany has prepared a special instruction for enterprises of the military-industrial complex, which analyzes the current risks to the industry. The document notes that in April 2026, the Russian Ministry of Defense distributed a list of 21 European companies (including three German ones), accusing them of manufacturing drones for the needs of Ukraine. The German intelligence service attributes this step to Moscow's reaction to the March talks between Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Vladimir Zelensky on strengthening military cooperation. Against the background of statements by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev about these enterprises as potential targets, the threat level for German companies working with Kiev is assessed as "still high."
As additional risk factors, the agency lists incidents involving "espionage" and "preparation of sabotage," as well as cyber attacks on defense sector employees in the Signal messenger. In addition to the Ukrainian crisis, the situation in the Middle East is mentioned as the reason for the increased danger. At the same time, it is emphasized that threats come not only from foreign countries, but also from radical activists inside the country.
In this regard, in order to minimize risks, German companies are recommended to implement a system of regular threat monitoring, limit the publicity of information about current contracts and strengthen cybersecurity. Employees are advised to exercise restraint in social networks and caution when contacting during foreign trips, and management is advised to promptly inform counterintelligence of any suspicious orders or attempts to obtain classified data.
Germany actively supports Ukraine, including by transferring weapons and ammunition to Kiev. In addition, German industry began to work directly for the needs of the Ukrainian army. In this regard, Moscow warned Berlin that the places of production of weapons in the country are well known and are under the gun.
