The US court arrested Igor Krutoy's apartment in Miami worth $ 14 million and an area of 450 square meters. This is reported by Komsomolskaya Pravda.
The arrest is connected with the accusation of fraud by relatives of the late businessman Oleg Burlakov. They claim that they transferred money for this property, but did not receive ownership.
The dispute arose due to an unfinished transaction in 2017. Burlakov planned to purchase these apartments, but died in 2021.
Despite the arrest, it is allowed to rent an apartment. The cost was reduced from $65,000 to $50,000 per month, and in May 2026 a tenant was found.
The investigation has been suspended until Burlakov's inheritance issues are resolved in the UK, Monaco and Latvia. The property is located on a private island in Miami, next door to the apartments of Jeff Bezos, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
Initially, Krutoy purchased this property (apartment) for $ 7.5 million, and over the past time their price has really doubled.
