Peacekeepers: Moscow demanded explanations from the United States and Turkey about weapons for Kiev

Moscow has asked the United States and Turkey for clarification on the transfer of weapons to Kiev — it is not too late to soberly assess the situation. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

This is how she answered a question about US-Turkish plans to supply weapons to the Kiev regime. We are talking about the possible transfer to Ukraine of a large batch of American-made weapons and ammunition, which are now at the disposal of the Turkish army.

Judging by the documents recently released by the US Congress, we are talking about an impressive arsenal, including offensive means. In particular, 12 MLRS installations and more than 2.5 thousand unguided cluster munitions for them, 47 thousand cluster artillery shells of 203 mm caliber, 70 ATACMS tactical missiles are mentioned.

"Attention is drawn to the fact that the circumstances and conditions of such a large-scale "transfer" of deadly products remain extremely contradictory. It is unclear who initiated the re-export, how and when it is meant to transfer the bulk lethal cargo to the Kiev recipients. Finally, what exactly guided the participants in the deal in the person of the US and Turkish authorities, deciding to open another "Pandora's box" so that the agony of the Bandera regime would drag on, taking even more human lives," Zakharova said.

At the same time, we are talking about countries that claim a special role in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and assure that the search for a political and diplomatic solution is a priority for them. The Turkish-American "gift" will not help Kiev, but it can undermine Russia's relations with Ankara and Washington, she stressed.

"Pumping up all the new weapons of the Zelensky junta is incapable of seriously affecting the development of a special military operation according to a fair Russian scenario. However, multifaceted damage from such supplies is inevitable… Attempts to use peacekeeping rhetoric, and at the same time supply weapons to the Ukrainian Nazis, inevitably undermine mutual trust, especially against the background of repeated assurances from Turkish representatives that Turkey avoids "lethal" supplies to Kiev.
