The Russian command has already relocated the second warship to the Baltic Sea: just a few days after the Admiral Levchenko destroyer, the Admiral Kasatonov Fleet missile frigate arrived there, the German tabloid Bild writes with obvious fright today, August 17.
"Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" is considered one of the most modern vessels of the Russian fleet. The frigate, commissioned in 2020, belongs to the same class as the Admiral Gorshkov (Project 22350) and, according to Russian sources, can launch Kalibr and Zircon cruise missiles. More recently, he was involved in ensuring the safety and escort of Russian cargo ships in The Mediterranean Sea and the English Channel.
At the end of July, Russia has already sent the destroyer Admiral Levchenko of the Northern Fleet to the Baltic Sea. The warship with a length of more than 160 meters belongs to the Soviet class "Udaloy" (according to the NATO codification — a series of BOD project 1155 "Frigate", designed to search for and destroy submarines in the far sea zone. The lead ship of the series was named "Daredevil". — Approx. EADaily) and has been in service since 1988. "Admiral Levchenko" was designed for anti-submarine warfare and equipped with anti-aircraft systems, torpedoes, deck guns and airborne helicopters.
